Toshiba laptop backlit keyboard

The problem is one of the reasons my wife chose this laptop is because of the backlit keyboard. So instead of going through the hassle of deleting all of these programs manually, I have a retail copy of Win7 and just want to do a fresh install. Then I notice in msconfig that there are approximately 15 programs running that are related to 'Toshiba utilities', which most are worthless bloatware in my experience. So here's the deal, I just bought my wife a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite i5) and right out of the box it runs rather slow.
