After Kirby’s Eternals was canceled, his storylines were resolved in a series of issues of The Mighty Thor, and in recent years the characters have appeared in other Marvel series. They were created by Jack Kirby when he returned to the company in the mid-1970s, and as the writer, artist, and editor on his books, he was largely left to do whatever he wanted with the series.

In Marvel Comics, the Eternals rarely interact with the Avengers and the other heroes of the Marvel Universe.
